A native of the Czech republic, I have lived in different parts of Europe, Australia, and Asia. I immigrated to the United States in 2003. Working with clients from various backgrounds, beliefs, sexual orientations and identifications is central to my work.
I am registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern (Veronika Gold-Charalambous #60689). I practice psychotherapy at The Marina Counseling Center under the supervision of Sam Markewich (#MFC 39836), and see individuals and couples, as well as children and families. I work as a psychotherapist at Francisco Middle School with at-risk youth, under the supervision of Audrey Dunn (#LCSW 11886). I am as well an After Hours Parent Support Line Counselor at Family Paths, a non-profit family service organization.
I have previously worked as a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern at the Golden Gate Integral Counsleing Center, and at TIPS (Transition, Intervention, and Prevention Services) program at Family Paths. My professional experience also includes working in the addictions field using the Harm Reduction model, working with mentally and physically challenged children, and facilitating groups for people struggling in relationships.
Since my adolescence, I have remained committed to personal, professional, and spiritual growth. I enjoy traveling, being in the nature, watching and doing arts, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. I am also interested in alternative ways of healing and energy work.
